JOHN NEELY BIOGRAPHY:
John Neely is an entrepreneur, nightlife connoisseur, event coordinator and artist developer. However, his success came from humble beginnings. Growing up on the west side of Detroit, MI, he was influenced to go to college and build a “normal” life for himself. Early on in life, John knew that his calling was greater than what was expected of him. After high school, he was granted a scholarship to go play football at Eastern Michigan University. He earned his degree in communications with a minor in marketing. Little did he know, other significant events would take place at EMU, events that would ultimately lead to John Neely’s current success.
Throughout his journey, John Neely has undoubtedly earned his title as one of the top event promoters and entrepreneurs in the city of Detroit.
His journey in event coordination and promotion began with attempts to plan his own birthday celebration while in college. After learning from trial and error and diligently networking to obtain the knowledge he needed, he quickly learned the necessary tools to bring a successful event to life. He took this opportunity and ran with it, realizing he could turn a fun, exciting event into opportunities to create income and launch his professional career.
His passion behind his work stems from his passion for people. He was confident in the fact that he wanted to work in a person-driven field from a young age. He is passionate about building relationships with people and creating growth from those relationships. He values and realizes the importance of successful relationships. He prides himself on being able to create fun, diverse, and safe events where people to fully enjoy themselves. Bringing life and energy out of others is something that, in turn, fuels John’s passion for his business. He genuinely cares about people, their well-being, and their happiness. It is important to him that he remains a good friend, person, and business man.
As an entrepreneur, John is a nightlife host specializing in party promotion, an event coordinator, graphic design artist, and has also began working in artist development. John, alongside his team, was recently able to secure a residency in the city of Detroit with DJ Envy during his legendary Quiet Storm Tuesdays; an event that is not only unique to the city, but has seen massive success since it’s launch in 2018. His presence and professionalism is undeniable. John has found a way to create atmospheres that are inviting to people of all walks of life. He naturally has a way of brining people together to celebrate life in a professional, but exciting way.
Through his hard work and determination, he has been able to work with many established artists including: Big Sean, Wiz Khalifa, Travis Porter, Drake, Bryson Tiller, Mya, Sisqo, J Prince, 21 Savage, Ice Cube, and many more.
J. Neely is not only a business man, but a father. His son is what inspires him on a daily basis and keeps him continually motivated. He pours himself into his business to ensure that he can provide his son with the tools and knowledge that he didn’t necessarily have growing up. He aspires to be an influence to all young men, as his uncle was to him. His uncle was a man who was college educated, but also embodied the spirit of a hustler. His entrepreneurial spirit helped to mold John in ways that he wouldn’t even fully recognize until later in his adult life.
In the next five years J. Neely plans to take his talents further and develop his own publishing company. He also plans to continue to work in artist development by managing two successful artists while expanding his nightlife expertise into new cities across the country.
J. Neely is a unique breed of man and entrepreneur. Through building relationships and remaining true to himself, he will continue to push himself and his brand to new limits.
